Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his signature style. She's performed on Broadway as well as during the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta currently, she is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician playing and singing at the church in town. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You A House 12, was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live shows. Her voice has also been a part of voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was appointed as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
