John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has influenced many with his music. Most of his songs are inspired by Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, Denver fell in the love of Colorado and later settled in Aspen. There were many who traveled towards Colorado due to Denver's famous tunes for the state he was raised in. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. In the year 2011, Denver was selected as the first Hall of Fame inductee. In the present, he's seen as a symbol of Colorado to people from all over the world. It is commonplace to meet people from other nations, for instance New Zealanders. They ask them "I come from Colorado" and they instantly react with Oh John Denver. Brown said. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short stint in smaller folk music groups is Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff created the song using Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver heard an early version immediately, he realized it was one of the top hits. A few days after performing to an audience of over a hundred in Washington D.C., the performer recorded his own song.
