Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded to stardom in 1994 with her album debut Age Ain't Nothing but a Numer. Her album, which was released when she only had 15 years of age it went Gold. R. Kelly was a key influence on the collaboration that put her in the limelight. In 1996, she debuted her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the number one hit track If Your Girl only had known. The second album of Aaliyah entitled One in a Million, was released in 1996. It featured the top song, a huge hit,"If Your Girl Only Knew. She was a part of the legendary martial artist Jet Li in 2000's action-romance film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, a film producer at an awards show at the time she landed the role and spotted her. In 2002 she had the opportunity to appear in the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. In 2003, she starred in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003 she was nominated to win four Grammy Awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is from Indian heritage and was born Connecticut. Mann, her stage name is an acronym for Mankad, her married surname. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for professional name. Her acting career started in the the mid 2000's, with a few appearances on television and in films. Other than The Big Bang Theory her most notable work includes Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). The commercials she has done have been for major brands, such as Volvo. She currently lives with her family in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting profession.
